Job Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing our sales team, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and achieving sales targets within the manufacturing and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, a deep understanding of the industry, and a proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
· Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and revenue targets. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
· Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
· Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing. Ensure the team is using the CRM system effectively to track progress and manage pipelines.
· Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and report on key metrics to senior management.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, production, and engineering, to ensure customer satisfaction and product delivery.
· Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry developments, new technologies, and competitive landscape to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
· 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a minimum of 5+ years in a sales management role, preferably within the manufacturing or construction industry.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
· Proficiency in CRM software.
· Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
