2nd Shift Sheet Metal Shop Lead
A 2nd Shift Sheet Metal Shop Lead is a skilled and experienced sheet metal worker who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a sheet metal shop. This includes managing the workforce, scheduling work, and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to budget. Sheet Metal Shop Leads also need to be able to troubleshoot problems, train new employees, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities of a Sheet Metal Shop Lead:
- Manage the workforce and ensure that all employees are following safety procedures and producing high-quality work.
- Schedule work and prioritize projects to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Oversee the production process and ensure that all projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing support and development.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications for a Sheet Metal Shop Lead:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a sheet metal worker.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift certification and experience with sheet metal machinery is a plus.
