We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, specifications, schedules, and other contract documents to determine material, labor, and finishing requirements.
- Source and price materials required for estimate development.
- Compute cost factors to support planning, scheduling, vendor selection, and cost-efficiency analysis.
- Prepare and present detailed project proposals, including timelines, payment terms, and contract conditions.
- Maintain and distribute comprehensive estimate summaries and supporting documentation.
- Conduct special studies to establish cost benchmarks or identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to clarify estimates and resolve potential issues.
- Recommend job- or site-specific solutions and consult with engineering as needed.
- Analyze completed projects to assess variance between estimated and actual costs, providing recommendations for future improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in estimating, cost control, or project work within metal fabrication.
- Strong understanding of steel construction and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various engineering disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up habits.
