Modular Construction Assembler



Arning Companies is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Modular Building Assemblerto join our growing team. This role is responsible for constructing and assembling modular building components in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Ideal candidates will have experience in general construction, carpentry, or assembly, but we’re also open to training individuals who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble modular kiosks according to mechanical blueprints, CAD drawings, and written work instructions.
  • Assemble structural building components including framing walls, floors, and roofs.
  • Perform fabrication tasks including sheet metal cutting, structural framing, and the installation of windows, doors, insulation, electrical components, and other hardware.
  • Perform interior finish tasks such as flooring, and trim installation
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery such as grinders, chop saws, overhead cranes, forklifts, and manlifts.
  • Inspect and verify component quality and fit during the assembly process to ensure compliance with performance and aesthetic standards.
  • Work independently or with a team to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
  • Use basic shop math and critical thinking to identify and resolve assembly issues or variances.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Engage in cross-training across departments to support production flexibility and workload balancing.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a tape measure and perform accurate measurements.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication and construction techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety practices and proper handling of tools and machinery.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and performing overhead or low-positioned tasks.
  • Previous construction, carpentry, or assembly experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
