Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter and Onboarding Specialist. This dual-role position is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new hires. The ideal candidate will have a passion for connecting with people, a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our mission by attracting top talent to help us continue delivering exceptional products and services. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates’ qualifications for various roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
  • Write and post engaging job descriptions on various platforms, including company career pages, job boards, and social media.
  • Build relationships with potential candidates through networking and outreach efforts.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, skills and culture fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and teams.
  • Extend offers of employment and negotiate compensation packages.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations during the hiring process.
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Attend career fairs and networking events to build the company’s employer brand.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new hires from the moment they accept the offer until their first day and beyond.
  • Prepare and send welcome emails and new hire packages, including offer letters, new hire paperwork, and company policies.
  • Coordinate and schedule all aspects of the new hire’s first day and week, including introductions to the team, training sessions, and equipment setup.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions, covering company history, culture, values, and benefits.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with IT, payroll, and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in recruiting or talent acquisition within a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a full-cycle recruiting and/or onboarding role.
  • Knowledge of ATS systems (e.g., Lever, Workday) and recruitment best practices.
  • Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to assess competencies effectively.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations relevant to recruitment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with a focus on relationship building.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using social media platforms for recruitment purposes is a plus.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
