Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter and Onboarding Specialist. This dual-role position is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new hires. The ideal candidate will have a passion for connecting with people, a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our mission by attracting top talent to help us continue delivering exceptional products and services. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Conduct interviews and assess candidates’ qualifications for various roles.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Write and post engaging job descriptions on various platforms, including company career pages, job boards, and social media.
- Build relationships with potential candidates through networking and outreach efforts.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, skills and culture fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and teams.
- Extend offers of employment and negotiate compensation packages.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations during the hiring process.
- Provide an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
- Attend career fairs and networking events to build the company’s employer brand.
- Serve as the main point of contact for new hires from the moment they accept the offer until their first day and beyond.
- Prepare and send welcome emails and new hire packages, including offer letters, new hire paperwork, and company policies.
- Coordinate and schedule all aspects of the new hire’s first day and week, including introductions to the team, training sessions, and equipment setup.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions, covering company history, culture, values, and benefits.
- Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT, payroll, and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in recruiting or talent acquisition within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- 2-4 years of experience in a full-cycle recruiting and/or onboarding role.
- Knowledge of ATS systems (e.g., Lever, Workday) and recruitment best practices.
- Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to assess competencies effectively.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations relevant to recruitment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with a focus on relationship building.
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using social media platforms for recruitment purposes is a plus.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
