Truck Driver – Part-Time

Arning Companies are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Part-Time Truck Driver with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to join our growing team in the manufacturing sector. This role plays a key part in our supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods to and from various job sites. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and committed to upholding high standards of safety and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport materials and products between manufacturing sites and customer locations
  • Ensure secure and proper handling of cargo to prevent damage or loss
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logs, including mileage, inspections, and trip reports
  • Follow assigned routes and adjust as necessary for road or traffic conditions
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
  • Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner when interacting with customers and site personnel
  • Respond to scheduling changes and travel requirements, including overnight stays
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
  • Clean driving record and familiarity with DOT regulations
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, delivery instructions, and safety documentation
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy loads as required
  • Must be able to climb in and out of the truck and walk on job sites
  • Perform repetitive motions and maintain focus for long durations
  • Meet all physical qualifications as defined by the Department of Transportation (DOT)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $0.53 – $0.55 per mile
